Intesa Sanpaolo: 1 million instant Bank transfers for 6 months


Intesa Sanpaolo - the first Bank in Europe that tested the platform of EBA Clearing RT1, solutions for processing instant credit  transfers SEPA at European level  and one of the first of the three Italian banks that provide this service since November 2017.

For the first 6 months of Intesa Sanpaolo carried out via instant Bank transfer more than 1 million transactions totaling over $ 1 billion.

Instant Bank transfers, was developed by Intesa Sanpaolo for a fully multi-channel environment, are performed in seconds and allows the recipient to immediately receive the funds. Operations are conducted 24/7, even on holidays.

About the service: 

In November 2017, EBA CLEARING has started the implementation of the RT1, infrastructure  solution for instant processing of SEPA credit transfers at a pan-European  level. Payment system is available 24/7, supports providers of payment services  operations to transfer Euro between payment accounts in less than 10 seconds from the sender to the recipient what the payment is instantly available  to get the beneficiary. Financial institutions in Europe can  use RT1 to any payment product in the Euro, which is fully  corresponds to the SCT scheme, the European payments Council(EPC) and the standards of the international  ISO 20022 messages for payments in real time.
