When performing transactions with payment cards of JSC "PRAVEX BANK" in a currency different from the account currency, currency conversion may be applied.
The conversion can be carried out in 2 stages:
Stage 1: Conversion at the level of the payment system:
- Conversion at the Visa level is made in USD or EUR (for payments in the Eurozone)
- Conversion at the level of Mastercard is always carried out in USD
Stage 2: Conversion at the bank level (performed if the account currency differs from the debited currency)

If you pay in EUR, from an account in EUR, with a Visa card - conversion is not performed.
If you pay in EUR, from an account in EUR, with a Mastercard, the conversion takes place in two stages:
- Stage 1: the amount of the transaction in EUR is converted into USD at the Mastercard rate
- Stage 2: the amount converted into USD is converted by the bank at the Bank's payment card settlement rate in EUR for debiting the account;
If you pay in USD from a USD account with a Visa/Mastercard, the conversion is not performed.
If you pay in EUR from a UAH (or USD) account with a VISA card, the amount of the transaction in EUR is converted into UAH (USD) at the Bank's payment card settlement rate for debiting the account;
If you pay in EUR from a UAH (or USD) account with a Mastercard, the conversion takes place in two stages:
- Stage 1: the amount of the transaction in EUR is converted into USD at the Mastercard rate;
- Stage 2: the amount of the transaction converted into USD is converted into UAH at the Bank's rate for payment cards for debiting the account (if the account is in USD - conversion is not performed at the Bank's level)
If you pay in USD from a UAH(EUR) account, with a Visa/Mastercard, the amount of the transaction in USD is converted into UAH (into EUR if the account is in EUR) at the Bank's rate for payment cards for debiting the account;
If you pay in British pounds or any other third currency, with a Visa/Mastercard card, the conversion takes place in two stages:
Stage 1: the amount of the transaction in GBP is converted into USD at the Visa/Mastercard exchange rate;
Stage 2: the amount of the transaction converted into USD is converted into UAH/EUR (depending on the currency of the account) at the Bank's rate for payment cards for debiting the account. If the account is opened in USD, no conversion is performed at this stage.
